The concentration of 131I in tap water at selected areas in Fukushima, Tokai and Tokyo depended on the sampling points and decreased with an apparent half-life of 131I of 2.8±1.2 days. Equivalent doses to the thyroids and projected effective doses for 1-year-old children also decreased.
