Cs-sorbed vermiculite has two peaks representing the Cs-interlayer with a basal spacing of 10.7 Å (=10^-10 m) and the K-interlayer in 10.1 Å. The Cs-interlayer peak disappeared after treatment with 0.01 M solution of Mg at temperatures >150 ℃.
