Thermal-hydraulic behaviors around the intermediate heat exchanger (IHX) outlet and thermal stratification in the cold pool (CP). These behaviors cannot be evaluated easily by the 1D model alone, and the increase in core inlet temperature can be reproduced by the coupled 1D-3D analysis.
