Comparison of experimental results of the correlation of turbulent vortices with theoretical calculation The correlation of density fluctuations (turbulent vortices) was measured for the first time on improved confinement accompanying the formation of an ITB. In the figure (a) and (b) indicate the size of turbulent vortices determined from the measurement. These experimentally determined sizes are in rough agreement with theoretical calculation.
