Bird's eye view of GTHTR300C The primary He gas, heated to 950degree Celsius in the reactor core, transfers heat to the secondary He gas through the IHX. The nearly 900degree Celsius secondary He gas flows to the H2 production system via the secondary He gas pipe. In addition, the 850degree Celsius IHX outlet He gas drives the GT for the generation of electricity. The H2 production system uses 170 MW and the electricity generation system uses 430 MW.
